A Season of Advocacy: Olinsky Law Group Reflects On Spring Sponsorships

Olinsky Law Group is proudly commemorating an eventful spring comprised of sponsorship opportunities that enabled the team to connect with other disability professionals, gain insights during educational sessions, and engage with the local community.

As another memorable spring conference season ends, the team is reflecting on experiences from both the National Association of Disability Representatives (NADR) and National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR) conferences. In addition to being longtime members and sponsors of both organizations, Olinsky Law Group looks forward to attending their annual events as well. From networking to educational sessions, each event provides beneficial resources and opportunities for disability professionals. When asked what he enjoys most about attending these events, Director of Marketing, Kody Mousley says, “For me personally, I enjoy meeting so many people I routinely talk to either through email or phone. It’s great being able to put faces to names and connecting with people we may only see once a year.” He additionally adds, “I also really enjoy attending the sessions and learning from the leaders in our field.”

This year, NADR celebrated a significant milestone, recognizing its 25th year anniversary. As a tribute to their first conference hosted in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico, NADR hosted the 25th anniversary in the same location. Connecting disability representatives from across the country, the conference included several educational sessions discussing topics such as cross examinations, SSA changes and more, as well as social gatherings honoring the anniversary for all who attended.

Incorporating two national conferences to their 2025 event calendar, NOSSCR hosted their spring conference in Washington D.C., and in September, Claimants’ Representatives will gather in San Diego. The conference kicked off with Hill Day, wherein representatives had the chance to meet with lawmakers and advocate for those seeking disability benefits. During the conference, sessions highlighted topics from AI to practice tips, in addition to the general session that provided updates from SSA.

While exhibiting at both events, the firm was given the opportunity to engage with new colleagues. “It’s very important because we meet with a ton of attorneys and representatives who may not do their own Appeals Council or Federal Court appeals. It’s great to be able to explain the value our team can provide them and being able to form new partnerships is exciting for all of us” Mousley says.

Not only does the firm enjoy the ability to meet new people, however exhibiting at both conferences allows the Olinsky Law Group team to maintain relationships with current referral partners and other familiar members of the profession. Mousley says, “Attending is just as important for maintaining current partnerships. I always try to connect with attorneys we work with and make sure everything is going well. I love hearing people tell me they’re happy with our firm, but I also try to get input on if there’s anything we can do to further improve our relationships & operations.”

Establishing relationships with both organizations and attending their events enables the Olinsky Law Group team to socially connect with various disability advocates, in addition to gaining practice insights and ultimately, further develop the firm. The firm also enjoys supporting strong missions that both organizations uphold. Mousley adds, “Sponsoring both the NADR and NOSSCR conferences is important to us because we’re supporting organizations with missions and values that align with the work our firm does. Attending the conferences is a great experience too because we get to connect with two groups of people who are similar, yet different. We learn so much from each group and use that knowledge to continue to better our firm every day.” Looking ahead, Olinsky Law Group is excited for future conferences, as these events often lead to working alongside other disability professionals, assisting with their appeals, and staying dedicated to claimants seeking benefits.

Along with experiencing eventful conferences during the spring, Olinsky Law Group additionally sponsored the GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge hosted by GiGi’s Playhouse. Continuing to support GiGi’s Playhouse, Olinsky Law Group strives to promote acceptance and is committed to their mission in changing the way the world views Down syndrome. The GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge promoted acceptance through physical and social movement. The local Syracuse event incorporated various physical activities including a 5K, Inspirational Mile Walk and Kids Dash for Down syndrome. In addition to physical activities, GiGi’s Playhouse organized a fun-filled day with raffles, games and more. As a proud sponsor, Olinsky Law Group was able to participate and engage with the Syracuse community to support an inspiring mission.

Reflecting on a memorable season, Olinsky Law Group enjoys sustaining relationships with organizations that are dedicated to advocacy. Whether advocating for those navigating the disability system, or promoting acceptance for all, the Olinsky Law Group team is grateful to sponsor these organizations. As the firm provides continued support to these organizations, Olinsky Law Group also looks forward to more opportunities that further advocacy and acceptance for everyone.
