It is with great honor that the Olinsky Law Group shares a significant professional accomplishment from one of its very own. During February, managing partner, Howard Olinsky celebrated his 40th year practicing law. The team is delighted and proud to share this milestone achievement and to further recognize his exemplary leadership.

Howard attended SUNY Oswego where he holds a degree in communications and thereafter earned his J.D. from the Syracuse University College of Law. Shortly following, he remained in Central New York to begin practicing law, where he came to the realization that disability law was the core practice he wanted to concentrate on. Devoting his time to beginning a career in disability law, Howard became committed to supporting real people with real needs and sought to expand his efforts to help more individuals navigating Social Security. Wanting to serve as many people as possible, Howard founded Olinsky Law Group in 1990.

Since Olinsky Law Group’s inception, the goal has remained to help those in need win the benefits they deserve. Focusing on advocating for individuals needing assistance with Social Security, long-term disability and workers’ compensation, Olinsky Law Group has developed greatly over the years, and Howard has created a respected standard for the firm to uphold. Verdicts won by Howard have set precedents in relation to disability matters, as one specifically clarified the duties of Administrative Law Judges during Social Security Disability hearings. Guided by his leadership, the Olinsky Law Group has helped a significant number of individuals secure benefits at the hearing level, and has attained extensive experience at the national level, as the firm has now handled appeals in all 50 states and remand rate remains above the average.

Together with maintaining the standard implemented by Howard, the firm’s success is derived from his leadership and a deeply rooted culture that has been established since the beginning. Under Howard’s leadership, the firm has continued to grow and is now comprised of 20 attorneys across the country, several hearing representatives, and a large support staff, having evolved into a national leader in appeals and securing consistent favorable results at the hearing level.

Alongside managing Olinsky Law Group and guiding the firm to achieve exceptional results for both its referral partners and individuals navigating the system, Howard is a member of various professional associations. Additionally, Howard has been recognized as a Super Lawyer in Upstate New York for three consecutive years and led Olinsky Law Group to be acknowledged yet again as a Best Place to Work by the CNY Business Journal.

Now entering his 40th year practicing disability law, Howard’s knowledge of this practice area and leadership of the firm have both expanded exponentially, but one thing has remained the same, his passion for helping those in need. Building on years of experience and achievements, the Olinsky Law Group team continues to fight for each client and are committed to maintaining the firm’s high standards established by Howard early on.

Howard and his team have now served and helped thousands of individuals secure their rightful benefits at each level of the disability process.
